About this event

UHN's Office of Research Trainees and UHN STEM Pathways invite you to a Scavenger Hunt where you'll get a chance to have fun with other students and postdocs from across UHN while exploring the city!

Register to join the scavenger hunt on June 19th from 1 - 5 pm! You'll be randomly assigned to a team of other UHN research students and postdocs and together you'll use the Goosechase App to compete a series of missions. You'll accumulate as many points as possible while travelling around the city, learning about UHN, answering trivia questions, taking pictures of clues and more! The teams with the most points will receive a prize!

We encourage all UHN Research students (including summer, high school, co-op, undergraduate and graduate students) and postdoctoral researchers to take this opportunity to meet other students and postdocs at UHN and have some fun! More information will be sent to the registrants the week before the event.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Photo Scavenger Hunt?

Teams will be provided with a list of photo missions around our hospitals to complete. Each mission is worth a certain number of points and must have all team members (except a photographer) present in the picture.

What should I bring/wear on the hunt?

Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are recommended. Please bring a water bottle, sun protection and at least one member of the team must have a smartphone with Goosechase App downloaded.

Are there any restrictions on the mode of transportation allowed during the hunt?

Teams are welcome to walk or use any mode of transportation, at their discretion.

Can I pick my teammates?

The event was designed to help you to meet new people at UHN and so teams will be assigned randomly.

Where is the scavenger hunt starting point?

When you register you will have two choices of where to start the hunt. You can choose to start at Queen's Park (near the University-based hospitals) or Alexandra Park (near Toronto Western Hospital).
